Biography

Jasmijn Bol, PhD, is the PricewaterhouseCoopers Professor and holds the prestigious Francis Martin Chair in Business at Tulane University's Freeman School of Business. An internationally recognized scholar, she has published widely in top academic journals, authored a book, and contributed to several influential book chapters—each one helping to shape the evolving conversation in accounting and management. Her research has taken her around the world, with over 100 presentations at academic institutions and conferences. Whether she's delivering a keynote or joining a panel, Professor Bol brings sharp insight, clarity, and a touch of humor to every stage she steps on. Her work has earned her several awards, including the Best Early Career Researcher Award, the Notable Contribution to Management Accounting Literature Award, and the Alumni Association’s Excellence-in-Teaching Award—reflecting her dedication to both scholarship and teaching. These days, Professor Bol is diving deep into the world of generative AI, exploring how we can work with AI rather than being replaced by it. Her work blends cutting-edge research with practical advice, showing how to use AI to spark innovation, sharpen critical thinking, and unleash creativity—without losing the human touch.
